Patient Groups Sponsoring

Giving Patients a Voice

Patient organizations play an important role in the healthcare system. They can educate the public and provide patients with relevant advice how to live with the burden of disease. Their role extends beyond counselling. These organizations give patients an important say in the health care system.

To fulfil their role as an independent voice for patients, relationships with pharmaceutical companies should be guided by the principle of transparency and co-operations should neither influence therapy decisions nor promote specific therapies.

Independence of Patient Groups

Daiichi Sankyo Europe and its affiliates respect the neutrality and independence of patient organizations. This is why we provide information on the extent and nature of our support.

  • Daiichi Sankyo Europe makes donations to qualified recipients that support the needs of patients and patient organizations to educate the public on diseases as well as other charitable causes, programs and activities that ultimately benefit patients.
